Hi and thank you for visiting our website, my name is Brandon Olivarez and I am a proud Veteran of the United States Marine Corps and owner of Platinum DJ Entertainment.
While in the Marines, I was fortunate to travel to 14 countries as well as serve a tour in the Middle East prior to completing my 4 year enlistment and honorable discharge as a Sergeant in 1999.
After serving in the Marines, I moved back to South Texas and settled in beautiful San Antonio to begin my career as an Aerospace Process Engineer. I completed my Bachelor’s Degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University then continued and completed my Master’s Degree from Wayland Baptist University.
In 2003 as we awaited the birth of our first child, we decided that it would be best if my wife could stay home (at least for the first year) to raise our newborn son. So she left her TV job to be a full time Mom (hardest job ever!!). That's when I decided that I could work "part time" as a Wedding DJ to make ends meet. Little did we know that DJing would become such a big part of our lives. A few years later my daughter was born and my wife continued to be a full time mom. As a DJ, I worked for a couple of DJ companies but noticed things that I felt could and should be different. So with grace of God, we decided to start our own DJ Company and 2007, Platinum DJ Entertainment was born.
When we started Platinum DJ Entertainment, our goal from the very beginning was to provide a personalized, high-end level of service with attention to detail and a full customer service guarantee. 13 years later, that has not changed. We are passionate and take great pride in being selected as your entertainment of choice for your once in a life time event. The memories and friends we have made in the wedding industry go far beyond just one day. It is truly a privilege and honor to be part of so many special moments.
Lastly, I would like to recognize my beautiful wife Jessica, whom I was blessed to have been able to marry in 2002. I am honored that she is the mother of our beautiful children (Brandon Jr. & Scarlett) and I am grateful that she has always believed in me and supported my dreams along the way. But most of all, I am so proud her bravery and her courage while fighting & beating cancer. She has been my inspiration from the first day I met her. She is the best friend, sister, daughter, mom and wife anyone could ever ask for. Without her, none of this would have been possible.
